built by sainctot around 1650, it was admiral louis-antoine de bougainville bellanger and his architect who remodeled and gave the chateau de suisnes it's current silhouette in 1799. the park was designed by christophe cochet who's family eventually become rose growers and make their town grisny-suisnes (back then called village of roses) the rose growing capital and biggest provider for the region of paris. in the late 18th century the french architecture of the park was transformed into an english style and occupied by jacques de noirmont, one of the former owners of the chateau. in 1899 most of the park got destroyed leaving only one little pavilion until the 1930s when bougainville's offsprings turned the 17 hectares into the current romanticism style. in 2000 a bankruptcy caused the abandonment of the area causing looting and vandalization of the castle. bought by a private investor in 2006, the site is now being gradually restored and possibly being used as a fantastic photo location as we did for swarovski in july. every room in this castle looks different now and is certainly a fantastic place to spend a day, but see for yourself.

how great is it if you admire one's work and one day you finally get to meet and even the chance to produce with them? in this case i've been inspired for quite some time by the work of two photographers from amsterdam named petrovsky & ramone when i was booked for spanish glamour to shoot a dior accessories special with them and it-girl/model poppy delivingne from london. as the whole team was charming and easy going we had some fun hours on pont alexandre III a.k.a. the most popular place to shoot outside in paris.

4 days in hamburg to show the latest catwalk trends a little simplified for the readers of german freundin magazine. i love these days where i can totally be in my element of cutting and styling. unfortunately there aren't many beauty editorial productions left to do, a lot of work in this segment is gone because of magazines buying from stock photo agencies. since fashion renews itself every six months magazines are forced to constantly produce, not in cosmetics. even better to have done this nice series.

after 10 days of my one month vacation in berlin have passed (paris is closed in august) my friend and photographer kate asked me to do a little shoot for a look book of berlin based designer bibi bachtadze. she booked a fabulous location a.k.a schlosshotel im grunewald. originally built in 1912 as the residential palace of one of kaiser wilhelm's confidants, the building has been turned into a hotel with it's interior modified by karl lagerfeld in the 90s. it's stunning and beautiful and as it is quite far from the center of berlin combined with extravagant prices, we almost had it all to ourselves. fun and relaxed day with lot's of champagne, see the result below.

basically my first editorial i worked on in paris after moving here is out now. for the july issue of l'officiel brazil i got to work again with the lovely tatiana chechetova with whom i did some nice shoots before, only this time on the banks of the seine with photographer sacha from munich, stylist gi from sao paulo and the fantastic make-up artist megumi from paris. the city treats me well, i just had a fantastic season and will come back after the summer with plenty of new work to show. so stay tuned!

last sunday i worked on the défilé for rynshu s/s 2012 when unfortunately one of the models didn't show

up. and what a surprise, i was being asked to cover. so within 10 minutes i found myself fitting two outfits, getting my hair done by my lovely colleague mathieu and out i was on the runway, trying to keep it cool when inside my heart was nearly exploding from nervousness. but i managed and since there was a prominent guest taking part in the show, no other than will.i.am from the black eyed peas, all the attention was focused on him and the fantastic clothes of course. but see four yourself! (if you don't want to watch the whole video, you'll find me at minute 2.40 and 6.45 :)

once again i got to do a cool story with my friend and photographer kate bellm. due to one of her great talents to choose the most wonderful locations, we met at the hotel le bristol in paris to shoot for trendspace magazine from russia and to be more precise we started working in the same room where woody allen shot scenes of his latest movie "midnight in paris". it was the day of kate's and william's royal wedding, so besides prepping, fitting and taking the first pictures the whole team got comfortable on the king size bed to watch this rather stunning occasion. but of course the work wasn't done by itself, so after a while we kept on disturbing the guests and routine of that gorgeous palace, but in paris people love watching when fashion is being shot, they probably enjoyed this kind of entertainment while having afternoon tea so we had a really fun day.

malthe in hero magazine is out now. bruna kazinoti shot this story with fashion stylist ana murillas from barcelona and me in the area of belleville around her parisian agent blanpied rubini. i love this area. there is a great turkish/moroccan market on boulevard belleville which was one of our locations too. once the market is over, people start selling their little belongings on the street. it's sad and beautiful to watch at the same time. the city of paris looks and feels so different here. malthe played it really cool posing in front of all these people because the market is quite dense. both bruna and ana were so much fun working with, a real nice day for a real nice magazine.

biggest news, i've found an agent in paris and that means i will be finally doing the next step in my career. i have been working towards that the last two years and it is finally happening :) from now on, you can book me in paris here:

apart from that, i want to show you some of my latest work i did.
i went to madrid to shoot this lingerie story for the french lingerie magazine intima. the team stayed in a design hotel called hotel puerta america madrid where every floor was designed by a different star architect. we stayed and shot on the zaha hadid floor, a spaceship like designed ice-cold dream where you would need 15 minutes and one telephone call to the reception to find a plug in the wall. how great is that in a 700€ room? it makes me feel uncomfortable every time i have to stay in a place like that, because the great design normally doesn't make you feel so great and comfortable. luxury problems. same night i had the pleasure to attend a metal magazine/carolina herrera party (take a close look at min. 1.36 ;) where jelena our model and me danced till dawn followed by a greater pleasure of a 30 minutes visit to the great prado the next morning. wow. the most stunning museum i have been so far and i've seen a lot. see parts of the story we shot enclosed...

tush is out. and i worked on a fabulous 60ies story for them that we shot in a great location called pan am lounge in berlin. the pan am lounge used to be a meeting spot and hotel for pilots and special guests of pan am in the sixties. they have kept the decoration and its interior until today and rent it out as location and venue for parties. on one side of the apartment you overlook the berlin zoo, on the other side you'll see the roof terrace of a funky sauna with naked people relaxing outside. it's a fun place to work there.

while i was in london to shoot for office shoes this summer, i also worked for the british vogue for the first time in my life. we shot an advertorial for harrods with gowns and van cleef & arpels' jewellery amounting to £ 8 million. 3 security guards, a cool model, a bit of nervousness (it's vogue) and 6 hours later we had our shots. i hope it's okay to be a little proud of it :)

we shot this story for faces magazine from switzerland at an abandoned little château in the paris region. i think we all agree on the fact that the city is stunningly beautiful, hiding little treasures like our location. our team of three enthusiastic and hard-working paris lovers' were roommates in a cool house that used to be a barn to do two editorials in the city of fashion (the other edito will be out soon!). we had to fight rain, rats and champagne to succeed. what a task! and so much fun. thanks again norbert for bringing us together.

recently two productions were published that i realized for inshoes magazine with my friend kathrin as producer and stylist and lots of fun and gin tonics afterwards. working in the summer makes life so much easier. hair and skin of models glow more, you can see a basic happiness caused by the sun and better nutrition and everyone feels more comfortable in their bodies. it was to short this year.

what a great and fun job to do for an ex-ballet dancer like me. we shot these campaigns for the hamburg ballett at one of their rehearsal studios with some of their excellent dancers. dirk messner who loves ballet as much as i do took beautiful shots of these hard working, over and over repeating dancers to get the base for these beautiful motives created by scholz & friends hamburg. being in the studio and working on the choreographic steps for our shoot put me back to my time as one of these special and dedicated creatures. so respectable what they accomplish every single day throughout their career. thank you to everyone who has partcipated for these inspiring days.

as i was born in berlin, it is fascinating for me to see how the face of my hometown is constantly changing. the area around checkpoint charlie has been one of the more interesting areas over the years. martin-gropius-bau, the gsw headquarter or the new topography of terror are only a few spots to mention. we used this great surrounding to shoot a fashion story in the midst of thousands of tourists, russian and english officers and above everything in a hot-air balloon on one of the hottest days this summer. a big thanks to joachim baldauf who's let us use his cool studio to rest and touch-up in between every picture.

belmondo and elbeo chose to not show the faces of models in their campaigns for a/w 2010. for me, it's really not the easiest thing to make hair look luscious but cover faces and keep hair in position without using tons of hairspray. but i would be lying if i said that i did not enjoy seeing my work as prominently shown as it is here.

we produced this campaign motive for guido maria kretschmer's spring/summer 2011 collection "dancing with myself". miljana vracaric from the hamburg ballet company did a wonderful job dancing for the camera all day, it's not the easiest thing to do to repeat jumps and turns over and over on a concrete floor but she managed with bravura. the video of the shoot will follow soon..

winter time is lingerie time. we shot the beautiful chatterbox katharina in a casual designed loft complex centrally located in berlin-kreuzberg run by pretty funny people. the cozy little café downstairs offers a real delicious latte.

strellson will launch their first perfume for which i went to aachen to shoot a nice picture for them. thank god they had to shut down every airport in the region because of snow storms that evening, so i could experience more of the city ;)

no one would ever imagine we shot that cover in front of a white sheet outside with just 3ºC on a farm close to the northern sea. it was amazing to see the spirit of our model veza who brought so much fun into those not very pleasing circumstances. chapeau! have a look backstage .
